"Wrap -N -Go"
When your child’s class is done, please just wrap them in a towel in a timely manner, and exit Pool House and Gym Building promptly. This is to help keep the swim classes close to schedule as possible. Once again, thank you for all your support.

Hair that is shoulder-length or longer must be clipped back from the face securely and put into pony or pigtails. Bangs should be trimmed out of the eyes. We do have hair ties avaible for your use, and its yours to keep.
Wait Your Turn
PLEASE wait to be called into the Pool House! DO NOT crowd around the door way, and wait for previous families to exit the Pool House.

Students who have not been potty trained for at least 6 months by the start of the session, or who are potty trained BUT under 3 years of age, are required to wear approved reusable swim diapers.
***We are asking ALL families to please bag up your children's diapers and swim diapers, and bring them home with you. Bags are provided if needed.
Getting Dressed
"Dressing Rooms & Showers"- They are closed Indefinitely!!! The doors are closed and locked, please respect this. It is impossible at this time to sanitize them after every use. Our priority is sanitation and keeping you all safe.
Our Sick Policy
THE POOL ISN’T THE PLACE FOR A SICK CHILDWhen you’re asking yourself, “should I take my child swimming with a cold,” here are a few basics to keep in mind:
Good hygiene is the key to everyone’s safety — When it comes to public swimming, proper hygiene is vital. Swimmers can help one another by avoiding the pool when ill. Always stay home if there is diarrhea or vomiting — Any time your child has these symptoms, stay home. In a pool, bodily fluids like these are easily spread, even through swim diapers. In fact, it’s probably best to skip swimming for a least a week if your child is experiencing gastrointestinal issues. Skip class for a fever — When your child is running a temperature, it’s best to stay home to avoid spreading infection. When your child has the flu or serious cold symptoms, swimming can actually make the illness worse, not to mention spread contagious sickness to others. To avoid your little one dripping mucus into the water and infecting other kids, it’s usually best to stay home. IF anyone is sick in your household, NO ONE, is allowed in the pool house! Who knows who is a carrier, this is to ensure the Coach and other students stay healthy!

Why No Goggles?
Why Aqua April does not allow goggles in swim class. The main one is for safety! Do you go fishing, boating, take a walk along the water, etc. wearing goggles?? No you do not. I believe swimmers need to know how to have water on their face and eyes without totally freaking out. They need to know they will be OK with eyes open in the water, regardless the situation. You do not want a situation to become worse because your swimmer cannot swim without goggles. Safety is the goal always in our swim program. This is one of the skills we teach. BUT, if you are swimming laps or on Swim Team, then goggles are a necessity.
Do you offer a learn to swim guarantee?
We do not believe in a “learn to swim guarantee” especially without observing the performance of our students. Some students may need more lessons than others and every child is unique and different. Children all learn at their own pace so we cannot say that we guarantee you will learn in “X” amount of lessons
DO YOU OFFER TRIAL CLASSES?
No. Trial classes aren’t fair to children because they don’t provide the benefits of built trust, consistent lessons and cumulative learning — all of which are crucial to learning to swim.
FAMILY OPEN SWIM
Open Swim allows swimmers and their families to use the pool for “fun-only” while positively fostering a relationship with our facility and water enjoyment. We have a variety of aquatic toys available for your use. Open Swim is also a convenient way to reinforce the ideas and skills covered in your child’s class while having a great time. Sunday's Family Open Swim is $10.00 per person or $20.00 per family. Children that cannot swim independently must be accompanied by an adult in the pool and wear an approved life vest.
What is your swim program all about?
Our main focus is to teach our students life saving skills and water safety. Specifically back floating and building arm and kick strength so that our students can successfully swim to the side of the pool for safety or float on their back in an emergency situation. Our goal is to have our students be able to save themselves if they were to ever fall into the pool on their own. Since we offer lessons to all ages, our instructors create custom lesson plans based on what that student’s specific goals are including stroke development, water comfort, treading water, diving, etc.
